Bud is a Wealth Advisor at Brightworth and has devoted his career to working with high net worth and high income earning individuals and families. Bud works closely with clients to understand their needs and develop customized financial plans to help them reach their short and long-term goals.

Bud began his career with an Atlanta-based multi-family office managing operations of complex client assets and advising clients in taxation, estate planning, and charitable planning. Prior to joining the Brightworth team in 2016, Bud oversaw the financial planning team of an Atlanta-based independent wealth management firm. 

Bud is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and received his Bachelor of Science in Financial Management with an emphasis in Financial Services from Clemson University. 

Bud is a member of the fee-only National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Capital Group of Atlanta, and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Legacy Advisors.  Outside of the office, he serves as a mentor to students in the Tiger Ties Mentorship Program in the Clemson College of Business in addition to volunteer work with Junior Achievement of Atlanta and the Atlanta Mission.

Bud and his wife, Tassie, live in Dunwoody with their three children. Bud enjoys boating and waterskiing, cheering on the Clemson Tigers, and tackling the occasional home improvement project.
